Estate Lemley Ranch Vineyard, Fair Play: Another opulent estate Pinot Grigio in our series with crisp yet soft, rich and concentrated
flavors of pineapple and lemon zest. |
2010 Sauvignon Blanc,
Estate Fiddlehead Vineyard, Fair Play: Our first estate Sauvignon Blanc, with light, fresh flavors and no "grass,"
a beautiful wine a crisp finish. |

Apple Wine, Boa Vista Orchards, El Dorado:
A special wine we make every year exclusively from apples; this version is a blend of 55% Fuji and 45% Arkansas Black. Delicious fresh apple
flavor and aroma, with just 11.6% alcohol. Perfect with appetizers or light desserts. |
2010 Late Harvest Pinot Grigio "Pinot Gringo,"
Estate Mother Vine Ranch Vineyard, Fair Play: A reprise of our favorite white dessert wine from 2001.
This is a delicate, low-alcohol wine for all your fruit desserts. |

Slug Gulch Red, Lot #25, Sierra Foothills:
The latest version of our notorious red "cult" wine that combines great flavor with great value. Lot #25 is a blend of 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Zinfandel, 12% Primitivo, 10% Sangiovese, and 8% Merlot. It is an unusually robust, complex
blend with deep, rich fruit flavors. Our NEW favorite "mediocre" red wine! |
2009 Reserve Barbera, Shaker Ridge Vineyard, El Dorado:
A rich, hearty Barbera with lovely flavors and a slightly tangy finish—perfect for pasta or barbecue.
California's new most popular wine! |
2009 Malbec
Estate Fiddlehead Vineyard, Fair Play: A rich, fruity Malbec with just enough body and tannin to complement beef or Argentinian empanadas. Oakstone's first estate
Malbec since 2000; this variety has been "promoted" to the big time from Obscurity Cellars! |
2009 "Super Toughskin":
A complex and enjoyable blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot that we can no longer call "Super Tuscan."
Great with pasta or assertive cheeses.
Awards: Silver medal, Chronicle Wine Competition.

2008 Petite Sirah, Estate Four-Field Blend,
Fair Play: The only version to include grapes from each of our four estate Petite Sirah vineyards. With multiple clones
from our exposures that vary from level to steeply sloped, this is a deeply-colored, rich and robust wine,
well suited to your heartiest summer barbecue fare. |
2008 Primitivo, Shaker Ridge Vineyard, El Dorado:
A smooth, fruity Primitivo with a lovely varietal aroma and a lingering finish. Andy Standeven (the grower)
insists that this is NOT Zinfandel! This variety is rapidly growing in appreciation in the Sierra Foothills--our second edition. |
2008 Meritage, Estate De Cascabel Vineyard, Fair Play: This version of a Bordeaux blend combines
Cabernet Sauvignon (36%) for strength, Merlot (33%) for richness, and Malbec (31%) for bright fruit flavors.
2008 Sangiovese, Murrill Vineyard, Amador County:
An elegant, complex Sangiovese to pair with your very best red-sauce pasta or even beef.
2008 Late Harvest Zinfandel, El Dorado, Cardanini Vineyard:
A sweet, enticing version of Zinfandel from a year of great concentration. The grapes were picked at 28.6 Brix, and the residual
sugar is 5.7%. Lighter than Port, but still for dessert!
2009 Barbera Port, Fair Play, Naylor Vineyard:
A Port-style wine made from a distinctly un-Port-style grape, this is the third Barbera Port we have made from
the Naylor Vineyard on Slug Gulch Road. Rich and robust, this will pair beautifully with any berry or chocolate dessert.
